The Häme Chamber of Commerce actively encourages companies and entrepreneurs to offer internships and employment opportunities for students regardless of their nationality. Through working with foreign students, companies can establish foreign business and export contacts. Students can gain valuable work experience through work placements and internships with local companies.
Students offer many benefits to the employers they go to work for. Students are learning the latest knowledge in their fields as well as know how to take on challenging assignments. Therefore, it can be a win-win outcome for both parties.
International Talent Day encourages companies in Häme Region to open thier doors to foreign students. The pilot project carried out by Häme Chamber of Commerce is driven by changes in the business world: rapidly expanding work communities, the need for international talent and increasing labor shortages. These challenges affect many companies in Häme region.
It is important that we encourage international students to stay in our labor market instead of returning to their home country after graduation. Through the International Expert day, we help students explore and encourage their interest in local companies as potential future employers.
