Häme Chamber of Commerce Tulosta

The main purpose of Häme Chamber of Commerce is to improve the basic conditions of commerce and industry in the region and to look after the general interests of business life.

The activities of the Chamber of Commerce are based on the law of the Chambers of Commerce and are aimed at improving the operational environment of businesses. Häme Chamber of Commerce takes part in preparations, gives recommendations and responds to matters such as laws, permission issues, business policy, traffic connections, city plans, education etc.

According to its duty, Häme Chamber of Commerce personnel and expert bodies (nine committees including over 200 business leaders) keep in touch with both local and national authorities.

Chamber of Commerce guides and helps its members in issues involving business, such as regional development, business environment, labour skills and availability, economics, projects and legislation as well as business networking.

Regional and international operator

Chamber of Commerce is the most significant international organisation of the economic life. The first Chamber of Commerce was founded in Marseilles, France in 1599. Today there are over 12.000 Chambers of Commerce in the world in over 150 countries.
Chamber of Commerce activity started in Finland in 1917. There are 19 Chambers of Commerce in Finland along with the Central Chamber of Commerce (CCC). CCC is a national body for co-operation between the various Chambers of Commerce and a member of the Eurochamber, which is a co-operation organ for European chambers. International Chamber of Commerce’s (ICC) Finnish department situates with the Central Chamber of Commerce.
